What Hana's Little Garden collects

When you create an account, Hana's Little Garden collects your email address, display name, authentication information handled by Supabase, saved learning progress, favorites, flashcard ratings, and subscription status. When you submit pronunciation practice, we process the expected text, recognized text, and assessment scores.

Microphone and recordings

Your microphone activates only after you press the recording button and grant browser permission. Audio is sent through a protected Hikari Apps function to Azure Speech for assessment. Hana's Little Garden does not intentionally store the raw recording after the request completes; assessment text and scores may be retained with your account so progress and usage limits work.

Payments, security, and service providers

Stripe processes payment and billing information; Hikari Apps does not receive complete card numbers. Supabase provides authentication and database services, Netlify hosts the site and server functions, Microsoft Azure provides speech assessment, and Cloudflare Turnstile may process security signals to prevent automated abuse. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Local and cloud storage

Before sign-in, progress may be stored in browser local storage. After sign-in, selected learning progress is synchronized to your account so it can be restored across devices. Authentication sessions use protected browser storage and expire or refresh according to the account service settings.

Retention, choices, and deletion

You may stop microphone access in browser settings, cancel Premium through the billing portal, and permanently delete a free or cancelled account from Account settings. You may also use the contact form for help. Records required for fraud prevention, billing, tax, security, or legal obligations may be retained as required.

Children

Hana's Little Garden is not directed to children under 13. Hikari Apps must obtain appropriate legal review and parental-consent controls before intentionally offering accounts to younger children.
